This is a fast-developing field being strongly promoted by regulatory bodies and the construction industry. The Practice is a member of the UK’s Construction Industry Environment Forum (CIEF). BREEAM is the world’s most widely used Environmental Assessment Method for buildings. It is predominantly applied at the design stage, and ideally at the concept stage, of a construction project. Buildings are assessed against a set criteria and provided with an overall score/rating. Thus planning standards for sustainability purposes are achieved.
