Training:
Various programmes of training associated with client contracts, the implementation of Management Plans and similar matters, as well as occasional seminars on a variety of environmental topics aimed at specific audiences, are undertaken by the Practice.
Specialist seminars are delivered by Betts Ecology through the Expert Services division from time to time: nature conservation science and local planning, property development and wildlife responsibilities, protected species and the law, and academic liaison with industry are examples of subjects covered.
Betts Expert Services are involved in advising clients on the development of business training for graduates wishing to enter professional environmental practice.
Environmental Honours Degrees:
Consultants within the Practice contribute to higher education and lecturing for BA/BSc Honours Degree Programmes. The emphasis of our involvement is on practice and theory in the life sciences, nature conservation science, land use, rural settlement and the academe:industry interface. The work involves supervision of practical exercises, field trips, tutorials, student research projects and formal lecturing. We are also consulted on course validation and higher degrees.
To discuss research projects, please phone, email or fax us. You can be sure of a speedy, efficient and friendly response.
